Teletrooper (formally Telenaut) has finally launched!
This is the game me and my friend Adam Butcher have spent the last 8 years working on. It's a top down, Starfox 64 inspired shoot 'em up with an unashamedly high difficulty level and classic pixel art visuals.
I worked on the graphics while Adam focused on the programming. My appreciation of pixel art is largely thanks to making this game and my artwork wouldn't be the same without it.
It's free to download from Teletrooper.com
Give it a go and tell me what you think.
Bradley Manning Had Secrets
I helped out with the animation for this short film about the Wikileaks source Bradley Manning. The effect is mainly achieved through rotoscoping, but at a very low resolution, harking back to the early days of videogaming. It's an interesting piece about the nature of secrets, both personal and political, and the visual style compliments it beautifully.

Here you can see some of the work from my 3rd year final project.
The project involved taking a game from initial concept, to some sort of realisation of what the game would be like. My game revolved around the exploration and navigation of a frozen coastline. Along the beaches the player is confronted with giant, industrial structures that form the basis of the game's environmental puzzles and challenges.
The main thing I wanted from the work that I ultimately produced was to create an atmosphere where the player felt threatened by the structures, but at the same time in awe of their size and beauty.
